About

Belgrave & Tecoma Township Group (BTTG) was founded in December 2019 through the merger of the Belgrave Region Action Group (BRAG), formed in 2001, and the Tecoma Village Action Group (TVAG), established in 2009.

We are an incorporated not-for-profit registered organisation. Being incorporated has many advantages, including legal protection for association members involved in our activities. We are also in a position to apply for many government grants that are unavailable to individuals, thus providing funds for specific community projects.

BTTG is a member of the Shire of Yarra Ranges Township Groups Network . Membership to BTTG is free, and affords participants the right to vote and collaborate on local projects and priority matters as determined by the Group and ratified by the Executive Committee.

Executive Committee Members are volunteers, nominated and elected at our Annual General Meetings, held in November each year. Any current member of Belgrave & Tecoma Township Group may self-nominate or be nominated for an Executive Committee role. Our Executive Committee meets monthly, and the whole group meets quarterly in February, May, August and at our November AGM.
