Belgrave Community Clean up
Sixteen dedicated volunteers turned out on Saturday 1 August for a Community Clean Up organised by the Belgrave & Tecoma Township Group (BTTG), demonstrating the pride local residents have in their township.
The clean-up was a collaborative effort involving the Belgrave & Tecoma Township Group, the Belgrave Traders Association and Yarra Ranges Council. Volunteers concentrated their efforts on Blacksmith's Way, an area that has attracted considerable attention on social media because of ongoing litter issues.

The Adaption Game - a Great Success
On Sunday, the 3rd of May 2026, Belgrave and Tecoma Township Group (BTTG) partnered with Yarra Ranges Council on a conference-style play through of The Adaptation Game (TAG). The aim of the event was to build community resilience, reduce climate anxiety, foster connection, and equip the community with tools for a stronger, safer future.
The event was a huge success, with a full room of engaged participants creating adaptations and
discussing their resilience together. Following TAG, the participants were led by BTTG in a community visioning exercise where they could conceive focus areas for action and come together to discuss their potential implementation. The participants identified solar, TAG, neighbourhood networks, emergency preparedness and hubs, power access, and mitigation as key focus areas for the region.
The TAG event led directly to the formation of our CRaCA group.
