BTTG facilitated an inaugural CRaCA meeting on 4 June. It was a great success with twelve people braving a wet and windy night to build focus on practical, community-led ways to build community resilience and work with climate adaption. Those who participated agreed that the group should prioritise strengthening community connections, building partnerships with existing organisations and knowledge holders, to support activities that bring people together, including young people. There was a shared view that CRaCA should start by understanding what already exists, undertaking a baseline audit of community strengths and resources, identifying gaps, and pursuing achievable “low-hanging fruit” projects that demonstrate value and encourage broader community participation.
The next CRaCA meeting will be held early in June 2026. Please contact bttginc@gmail.com for details.
